What do I need to bring? Clothing, gun, and a good flashlight
What is included in the price of a hunt? Everything (meals, lodging, transportation to and from the hunting area, cleaning deer, quartering deer to go home) except your hunting license
How many deer can I harvest? You can harvest one buck per day or three per year and one doe per trip
How many acres do you hunt? 34,000
What can I kill in addition to deer? Bobcat, fox, coyote, wild hog
What time should I arrive? Between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
When do I depart? After the morning hunt on your last day
When do I pay? You pay one half of your total bill at the time of booking and the other half when you arrive for your hunt
What is your cancellation policy? We will rebook you on a different date within that hunting season but we will not carry any deposits over to the next season. If you do not come that season, you will loose your deposit.
Do you have airport pickup service? Yes – we will pick up from Meridian, MS at no extra charge
Do you have a taxidermist? Yes
What is the average distance I will shoot? 100 to 200 yards
What type of gun should I bring? Any center fire gun is legal. Good calibers are 25.06, 270, 7mm.
Will I need hunters’ orange? Yes, we will give you a cap that is enough for state regulations (144 sq. inches), but you may bring you own cap or vest.
Do you process meat? No, we keep it in the cooler until you depart and then we quarter it for you to put in an ice chest. If you want the meat wrapped, there is a professional processor 40 miles away that will package, wrap and ship your meat to you. We will assist you in getting your deer to them.
What type of blind will I be hunting from? Afternoon hunts will be hunting green fields from enclosed weatherproof houses. Morning hunts will be from 12 foot high ladder tree stands over acorn flats, creek crossings, roads or clear cuts.
How do you decide where we hunt? Wind direction and when an area was last hunted are factors used to make determinations
What are your two different hunting areas? Semi-Trophy – shoot any buck with one main beam 13 inches or longer. Trophy – shoot any size buck, but you pay $750 for each buck you kill.
* You may shoot a doe in any area at no charge.
What is the size of your deer? Mature bucks will weigh up to 240 pounds. Mature does will weigh up to 140 pounds.
What will your bucks score? We harvest a few bucks every year that score in the 150s.
How many people sleep per room? Some rooms sleep 2, some 4, some 6 and some 8. We try not to mix people from different groups in the same room.
